RMS Titanic Rare Video Footage
Posted by LOTGK on January 3, 2011
Above is very rare video footage of the RMS Titanic as it was leaving the Queenstown, Ireland seaport.
No, not really. It’s from the Titanic Museum Attraction located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. As you can see, the museum is constructed to appear like the actual luxury liner. There are hundreds of actual relics from the wreck and an authentic replica of the grand staircase and hallways and state rooms.
When you arrive, the workers are dressed in White Star period costumes. Captain smith was very entertaining indeed. As you enter the attraction, each person receives a boarding pass from one of the original passengers with a synopsis of whether the passenger survived or perished.
One of my relatives, whose first and last name is mine, was on the Titanic but perished. He was in third class, as was all the Irish coming to America to begin a new life. As an added bonus, my loving wife Patty called the museum ahead and asked if perchance I would be able to receive his boarding pass instead of a random passenger boarding pass. I have the boarding pass framed. It was such an odd feeling to see your name on the boarding pass knowing your relative was on that fateful voyage.
Below are several photos I snapped at the museum including my boarding pass. I deleted my name from the top of the boarding pass and in the body.
