Vikings Lose To Cowboys 16-10 Preseason

The Penis Mightier

Err, Maybe that should have read The Pen Is Mightier….

The NFL preseason is over. The Vikings lost to the Cowboys 16-10 in a lackluster performance by second stringers and very near future car salesmen. (Would you buy a car off of Brooks Bollinger?)

Since the NFL treats preseason game four as a red headed step child, this will be a brief update.

Tarvaris Jackson, still injured, did not play. I hope i don’t type that sentence again this season. Odds are good that it will however.

Adrian Peterson also didn’t play.

Berrian, the premium wide receiver still has a bad toe. Why do I hear the bears laughing?

J. D. Booty got plenty of action. Not always a good thing. He played adequately, but no matter how he played, he is guaranteed a roster spot. Childress won’t get burned with the Thigpen debacle of last year.

Martin Nance played his heart out. It’s a shame he won’t make the team. With Berrian’s toe, the Vikings may need Nance. Can you say Hank Baskett?

It was good to see Robison back on the field. The key to a successful Viking season is a deep defensive line and Robison is an integral part of that line.

The preseason is officially over ringing in coach Childress and his third season. A team molded by Childress, chiseling away some bad stones and adding some new mortar to fortify and strengthen the team. The only piece of the foundation in question is the quarterback and the bricks he sometimes throws.

Yes, the season success lies with Tarvaris Jackson. Not Peterson, Allen, or the Williams wall, or Childress himself. Jackson is the X Factor, the unknown quantity. Has he developed enough to actually lead the team? Will he stay healthy all season? That is it in a nutshell. Those two questions.

The regular season begins next Monday night at Green Bay. Even though Brett Favre is no longer on the team, I believe it will still be a love fest for him. Hopefully, the Vikings will sneak into the city and steal a game away from them.

I was also studying the predictions of the centuries of the great clairvoyant Nostradamus, and a particular quatrain seems to speak of the Vikings and their success this year. I will dissect it later on this week.

Until then, Skol Vikings!

Looks like he’s saying, now carry the 2 and you got how many wins we will have this year.

And that concludes our Sunday services for the day. 🙂
