NFL Winners And Losers Week 07
Posted by LOTGK on October 19, 2007
The Summer weather has changed to cooler fall temperatures. It’s a time of change. To prepare your vehicle for the winter. It’s time to replace worn tires for new tread. Replace old used oil for a new filter and premium grade oil. A new set of wiper blades to see better and to clear away the built up sludge. A tune up to keep everything running on all cylinders. Fuel additives to add horsepower and speed. New anti-freeze so you don’t freeze up in the very cold Sunday morning starts. . Same can be said for the NFL mid October.
Through week six Viking Thunder is 55-34 over all. This week we will again go against the grain and enlighten you with expert analysis of this weeks games.
Ravens at Bills
A “change at QB.” Kyle Boller assumes the QB position and Lee Evans starts for the Bills. The defense of the Ravens will stifle the Bills. Boller is no McNair, but he will be enough.
Ravens win
Titans at Texans
Spare “Change” Kerry Collins gets the nod as starter Young nurses his quads. Texans need a running game, won’t find it against the Titans. A bright spot though for the Texans. Collins is starting.
Texans win
Colts at Jaguars
Manning has a “new” wrinkle, a “Change up” if you may. Anthony Gonzalez is finding his way on the field more and more. That’s bad news for the Jags. Gerrard just keeps on keeing on. Fred Taylor, isn’t it about time you get injured?
Colts win
Cardinals at Redskins
The Cardinals are three deep at QB and will start “new” pickup quarterback Rattay gets the nod. Bad news for Card, he ain’t no Kurt Warner. Even worse news for the Cards. Warner sucks.
Redskins win
Falcons at Saints
Falcons “Change” quarterbacks benching Harrington and go with Leftwich. Reggie, the new Mr. October is making people believe. And they should.
Saints win
Patriots at Dolphins
6-0 verses 0-6. Nothing “new” for the Pats. They will exploit the porous Dolphins secondary while the fins attempt to wear Ronnie Brown out running 30 times per game. It won’t help. Same as it ever was.
Patriots win
49ers at NY Giants
Trent Dilfer is the “new” starter for the 49ers as Smith heals. The Giants may record sacks in the teen amounts.
Giants win
Buccaneers at Lions
This is “new.” After six weeks, the Lions have a winning record. Bucs add “new” running back Michael Bennett.
Bucs win
Chiefs at Raiders
Larry Johnson is getting his legs back under him. Daunte Culpepper is turning over a “new” leaf. Oh wait, just a turnover. When do the Raiders switch to the #1 over all draft pick Russell?
Chiefs win
Jets at Bengals
Ever since Chad Johnson donned the HOF gold jacket, the Bengals have gone South. Pennington is still hanging in. Johnson needs to add a “new” wrinkle to his game. Maybe concentrating on running routes instead of thinking of ways to celebrate touchdowns.
Bengals win
Bears at Eagles
The Bears Hestor is mentioned in the same breath as Gale Sayers. With the Bears offense sputtering, perhaps it’s time for a “change” at quarterback. Wait, been there, done that. Didn’t work. McNabb is on a mission. A mission to at least get above 500. He takes a step Sunday.
Eagles win
Rams at Seahawks
Rams “new” RB Leonard hoping to stopgap until Jackson returns. Matt Hasselbeck is still bald. And a crybaby. But sometimes, crybabies whine loud enough to get what they want.
Seahawks win
Steelers at Broncos
Perhaps Ben will try something “new” and actually pass more than 12 times this game. Cutler needs to choose his battles. Perhaps next week.
Steelers win
Vikings at Cowboys
Adrian Peterson leads the NFL with over 600 yards rushing and a 6.3 yard per carry average. To bad the Vikings don’t have a passing game to go along with it. Romo and Owens cannot wait to go up against the Viking defense. They should connect many times Sunday. But a Rice, a “new” receiver will match them this week. T. Jax has his coming out party against the Boys. Look for three TD passes as the Vikings offense wakes up.
Upset special, Vikings win

The Vikings just don’t have the passing power to compete with the Cowboys. Peterson is a great back but Dallas will stack the line and force the Vikings to pass making them lose. T.O. gets three td’s and Romo passes for over 400 yards as the Cowboys win by 24 points.

Although I believe the Cowboys have a better team, I do not think they will win by 24 points much like the Patriots spanked the Cowboys last week scroing 48 points.
And who knows, the Vikings might just be on a roll.

The Detroit Lions are a better team than most spectators believe. In essence, they have two head coaches and are on a roll. Kitna guaranteed a 10 win season and we are on our way.
