Week 6 Winners And Losers

Posted by LOTGK on October 11, 2007

Ricky Williams formally asked for reinstatement into the league this week. Lindsay Lohan is in rehab. Keifer Sutherland is in jail. Britney lost her kids to K-Fed. Pam Anderson got married again and Paris Hilton still hasn’t got a job. Looks like everything is normal once again.

Last week my cat Thunder went 12-2, the best outing so far this season. I had to reward her with treats and catnip. Over all, after 76 games, Viking Thunder is 46-30 moving into week six.

Vikings at Bears
The Vikings get their starting quarterback, Tarvaris Jackson, back this week. He tweaked his groin three weeks ago. Dwight Smith did the same last year with a woman in a stairwell, but he was on the field the next Sunday. But do the Vikes want Jackson and his impressive 40 QB rating? The Bears continue the experiment with Griese. This could be the showdown of the two worst quarterbacks in the league.
Upset special, Vikings win.

Redskins at Packers
It will be very difficult to beat the Pack two times in a row at Lambeau field. Although Favre wants the interception record from George Blanda. One more and he’s the king.
Packers win

Panthers at Cardinals
Carr verses Warner. Who’d a thought that three weeks ago? But there it is. James should see a lot of action, even more than Richard Solomon! (Just married Pam Anderson)
Cardinals win

NY Giants at Falcons
Giants need this win to stay close to the Skins and Cowboys. Joey Harrington reverts back to Joey Harrington.
Giants win

Dolphins at Browns
Was that Jeff George working out for the Dolphins this week? With Green out, their fate is sealed. Wait, it was sealed with Green starting. If Browns stumble here, the Brady Quinn era begins next week.
Browns win

Texans at Jaguars
Matt Schaub is looking better and better for the Texans. The Jags are usin the motto, Get R Done. It ain’t pretty, but neither is your momma.
Jaguars win

Patriots at Cowboys
Lindsay Lohan negotiated an early release from rehab to see this game. Hope Keifer Sutherland ain’t driving her to the game. Randy Moss was held scoreless last week. Moss verses Owens. A classic match up. What happened at the last match up. Yup!!!
Patriots win

Rams at Ravens
Jeff George was also spotted at Rams camp. Rams cannot field a team. To many injuries. Must be hanging out with “Da Killa” Ray.
Ravens win

Bengals at Chiefs
Palmer to Johnson. Palmer to who’s your momma. Huard to E-harmony.com. Chiefs cannot figure out why Johnson isn’t performing like he did the previous seasons. (Cause it’s not a contract year)
Bengals win

Raiders at Chargers
Just win baby. That slogan went out about the same time Britney Spears stopped wearing panties. Chargers are putting it all back together. A very bad time to play them. The wind is a pirate.
Chargers win

Titans at Buccaneers
Vince Young, all he does is win. His numbers aren’t pretty, but he wins. On the other hand, Garcia thinks Young is pretty…. A low blow.
Titans win

Saints at Seahawks
The Aints are back in town. Brown paper bag and all. It’s midnight pumpkin, the fairy tale is over. Seattle needs this game or the season is over for them.
Seahawks win

Eagles at Jets
Eagles need to dust off their throw back uniforms. Jets need to learn to finish a team when they’re down. Won’t be this week.
Eagles win

Bye week teams: Bills, Bronoc’s, Colts, Steelers, Lions, 49ers.

LURKING ON THE GRASSY KNOLL

Raiders upset the Chargers. Daunte Culpepper is on a roll. The chargers have nothing except LT and the Raiders D can limit him.
    Raiders win baby.

Culpepper on a roll? Did he do something over the bye week we should know about?
Or do you mean his 5 for 12 passing performance from week #4? My favorite Culpepper throw was the one that bounced off the linebacker’s head about 20 yards down the field. Hit ’em right in stride, too.

IMO, Culpepper is merely a bandage until their coveted #1 over all pick is up to speed and can take the helm.
And yes, although Culpepper scored 4 times, (5 times on the love boat) he has not shown anything to get a roll on.

Qualifying that, neither has Tarvaris Jackson, Brooks Bollinger, or Kelly Holcomb, or how I like to refer to them, Curly, Larry, and Moe.

I am glad G’s seachickens won, or else I would hear all about it. LOL

Not to shabby as I went 9-4 this past week. Not as good as my cat Thunder did last week, 12-2 , but I’ll take 9-4
