Old Fashioned Restaurant

August 21, 2008

On our way back from a turkey dinner in Summittville, Ohio we happened upon this quaint little restaurant in downtown Lisbon, Ohio.

Spying the local attire, it would appear the restaurant is a “Period” restaurant set in the early 1900’s. Could be wrong, just might be the Amish or Mennenites.

Perhaps we may have to stop there the next time around.

Gatlinburg Space Needle

July 27, 2008

Gatlinburg Space Needle

The Gatlinburg Space Needle rises just over 400 feet to a 360 degree panoramic viewing platform that holds 250 people. The cost is about $7.00 per person. It’s located at the intersection of Parkway and Historic Road, (Old Airport Road) in the heart of Gatlinburg. The following are several shots i took while visiting. Be sure to click the thumb nail picture for a much larger picture.

Youngstown City bridges

Youngstown has a new amusement ride for the commuters. Hurry though, it will only be open for 6 more months.

That’s right Youngstown fans. the bridge that was to be open the first week in July is now slated to open sometime in the future. Perhaps October, or November. Let us not forget that the Market Street bridge is limited to only one lane of traffic.

Corn Holing Game

July 3, 2008

most popular game

With gasoline prices skyrocketing over $4.00 per gallon making consumers skiddish about the economy, summer tourist destinations are using ingenious marketing strategies to attract tourists.

Geneva On The Lake is taking the bull by the horn by promoting the ever increasing popular activity called Corn Holing. As you can see from the picture above, business is brisk.

Have A Happy And Safe Fourth Of July shooting your fireworks.
