Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger, Cheeseburger
Moore’s Tavern located on South Avenue in the heart of Youngstown, Ohio is a popular restaurant for lunch for dining in and take out. As you can see, I ordered take out.
I ordered the half pound bacon cheeseburger with fries. The cost was $6.95 which is reasonable considering a quarter pound of beef, cheese, bacon, and fries. It came all nice and neat in a styrofoam container. (At least it was all in the container)
The burger was well done as ordered, the bacon crunchy and cooked, and the cheese melted but not dripping messy, and the fries, crunchy and tasty although not to plentiful. For 7 bucks, I was expecting more, not less.
The order was correct, and was on time when we went for pickup which is always a huge plus.
The Grassy Knoll Institute awards 3 out of 5 shots and recommends Moore’s Tavern for lunch.

Hardly fry worthy.

Agree with the fries part. Sparse, not plenty at all.

Talk about burnt offerings! Char broiled.

Bacon looks thick and plenty of pieces. Admit the fries look cancerous.

Hey Pat, is Teenies Tavern (sp?) still up on South Avenue serving piroghis?

I took Marsha for a cheeseburger. She gave me a hand job at the counter. It was great.

Jim, yes, Teenies is still open. I don’t know about the piroghis though, haven’t been down there in a while.

The cheese looks particularly thin (almost transparent); but I’m starving right now, so I’d eat it for sure! Ketchup please…
