Dial Up Diddy
Posted by LOTGK on October 10, 2007
This weekend, I found out that I am spoiled rotten. The Grassy Knoll Institute has high speed cable internet access but when I dialed in this weekend in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, I found that everything ground to a halt.
I signed on to the internet, clicked to check my mail, and found that I actually had to wait for several minutes for the mail to load. I then shifted my attention to the more important aspects of the internet, the Grassy Knoll Institute website. I found that it took an awful long time for the page to load. Visiting my friends pages took forever for those who modified their pages from the generic original ones. And forget about the audio and video portions of the page. They never loaded.
I guess this is a word to the wise for me and to everyone that takes hi speed internet access for granted. There are still millions who use dial up. I am going to re-evaluate my page when I return to Ohio to see if I can make it load faster.
Yes, I am spoiled rotten.

I still use dial up. Its only 10 bucks a month. I am on for a limited amount of time. Your page loads ok, some of your pictures takes a while, but they load.
Signed,
One of the many millions still using dialup.

I’m so sorry. But yes, that is why I revisited my blog and cleaned up the pages, resizing the pictures to a more friendly Internet dial up size. I’m glad it is working for you.
